Casualty insurance
"
includes insurance against any other kind of loss, damage, or
liability properly a subject of insurance and not within any other kind of insurance as defined in this
chapter, if such insurance is not disapproved by the director of insurance as being contrary to law
or public policy.
Casualty insurance also includes liability insurance that insures the issuing of
written certificates or statements of title or similar instruments stating the condition and status of title
to real estate and the holder of record title to real estate, subject to any exemptions or qualifications
set forth in any such instrument, provided that there is a policy of indemnification for the person for
whom the instrument is made. Nothing in this Act may be construed to affect the regulation of
abstracters of title engaging in business in this state pursuant to chapter 36-13.
".
