SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS

         HB 1111    require certain third party administrators to provide reports of claims experience upon request.
         HB 1082    provide for uniform jurisdiction in the regulation of certain seed, commercial fertilizer, commercial feed, animal remedies, and pesticide.
         HB 1078    revise certain provisions concerning the bonding of township clerks and treasurers.
         HB 1097    permit municipalities to refund certain sales and use taxes to contractors and subcontractors.

         SECOND READING OF HOUSE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS
         * Refer to Daily Reader for engrossed (amended) bill

         HB 1035    (Removed from Consent Calendar) revise the renewal fee paid by medical assistants.
         HB 1069    (Removed from Consent Calendar; Deferred from 12th LD) establish procedures for the forfeiture of money paid by a purchaser of a tax certificate who fails to pay the subsequent taxes.
         HB 1086*    restrict the rights of certain sex offenders related to adoption or visitation of children.
         HB 1091*    authorize the Public Utilities Commission to approve tariff mechanisms for the automatic annual adjustment of charges for jurisdictional costs of new or modified transmission facilities.



        
         HB 1140*    revise certain provisions regarding the continuing eligibility requirements for opportunity scholarship recipients.
         HB 1188    revise certain insurance liquidity provisions for private placement policies.
         HB 1206    provide contractors' excise, sales, and use tax refunds for the filming of certain movies and television shows.
         HB 1147    revise certain eligibility restrictions related to secondary school extracurricular activities.
         HB 1138    authorize first class municipalities to issue nonsmoking establishment on-sale licenses under certain conditions.

         LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATIONS

         HC 1006    (HJ 12th LD) Commending and honoring the 2004-2005 Outstanding School Administrators of South Dakota: Robert Arend, Garretson, School Superintendent; David Peterson, Retired, School Business Official; Nancy Whitcher, Rapid City, Elementary School Principal; Christena Schultz, Emery, Secondary School Principal; Mike Taplett, Huron, Middle School Principal; Dr. Patricia Peel, Rapid City, Curriculum Director; and Karen Roth, Sioux Falls, Director of Special Education for being named outstanding administrators by their respective administrator parent groups.
