SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS
* Amended

         HB 1048*    revise the reporting and remittance requirements for certain state taxes and to declare an emergency.
         HB 1063    clarify certain provisions concerning the authority of certain courts to issue warrants or summonses on indictment.
         HB 1050    revise certain provisions regarding the taxation of motor fuel and the refunding of motor fuel taxes.
         HB 1052    update the reference to certain federal regulations regarding financial assistance to persons displaced by highway acquisition.
         HB 1053    codify legislation enacted in 2005.

         SECOND READING OF HOUSE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS
         * Refer to Daily Reader for engrossed (amended) bill

         HB 1018    (Deferred from 5th LD) delay the change in calculating the amount eligible for distribution from the Health Care Trust Fund and the Education Enhancement Trust Fund and to declare an emergency.



        
         HB 1043    (Removed from Consent Calendar) revise certain provisions regarding life insurance exclusions.
         HB 1008*    permit the immediate reclassification of nonagricultural acreage property under certain circumstances.
         HB 1005*    revise certain provisions related to cancelled livestock brands.
         HB 1064    increase the penalty for subsequent convictions for the crime of stalking.
         HB 1016    provide for the creation of a renewable electricity and recycled energy renewable energy credit system by the Public Utilities Commission.

         LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATIONS

         HC 1002    (HJ 6th LD) Honoring O'Gorman High School and Corsica Elementary School which were named No Child Left Behind-Blue Ribbon Schools.
         HC 1003    (HJ 6th LD) Honoring Barbara Dowling of Sioux Falls as South Dakota's 2006 Teacher of the Year.
         HC 1004    (HJ 6th LD) Honoring and congratulating outstanding tennis coach, State Representative Burt Elliott, on his selection as a recipient of the 2005 South Dakota Tennis Achievement Award.
