The Senate and House Retirement Laws Committees will meet jointly to hear the Retirement System
Actuarial Report. That report will be followed by the Senate Retirement Laws Committee hearing the
following bills:
SB 5
adjust certain participation standards for the South Dakota special pay retirement program.
The Committee on Retirement Laws at the request of the South Dakota Retirement System
SB 6
define certain terms related to the South Dakota Retirement System.
The Committee on Retirement Laws at the request of the South Dakota Retirement System
SB 7
clarify certain provisions regarding the level income payment option within the South
Dakota Retirement System.
The Committee on Retirement Laws at the request of the South Dakota Retirement System
SB 8
establish to whom the South Dakota Retirement System may make benefit payments on
behalf of minors.
The Committee on Retirement Laws at the request of the South Dakota Retirement System
SB 9
revise certain beneficiary provisions of the South Dakota Retirement System.
The Committee on Retirement Laws at the request of the South Dakota Retirement System
SB 10
establish and revise certain provisions relating to South Dakota Retirement System
disability benefits.
The Committee on Retirement Laws at the request of the South Dakota Retirement System
SB 16
revise certain re-employment requirements in the South Dakota Retirement System.

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do
not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be
determined by the chair.
