SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS
* Amended

         HB 1201*    revise the labeling requirements for certain types of motor fuel.
         HB 1243*    provide for the copying and retention of foreign documentation used to apply for certain state licenses, permits, and identification cards.
         HB 1189    clarify the application of certain provisions pertaining to the sale of pistols.
         SB 92*    define a recreation vehicle, to exempt certain recreation vehicles from the maximum width restrictions for a vehicle, and to provide a length limitation for motor vehicles.

         SECOND READING OF HOUSE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS
         * Refer to Daily Reader for engrossed (amended) bill

         HB 1106*    (Deferred from 17th LD) revise the duties of certain licensed mental health professionals with regard to certain insanity and guilty-but-mentally-ill proceedings.
         HB 1227*    (Deferred from 19th LD) revise certain provisions concerning the hiring by school districts of persons convicted of felony drug distribution.
         HB 1229    (Deferred from 20th LD) require standards for certain family day care providers.
         HB 1148*    provide that certain statements and actions made by health care providers are not admissible to prove negligence or culpable conduct in medical malpractice actions.
         HB 1178*    provide a means to correct errors or omissions made to recorded plats.
         HB 1234*    revise the conditions where the state may enter into compacts with Indian tribes.


         HB 1230    require certain children to be in a booster seat when in a motor vehicle and to provide that certain penalties be waived if a child passenger restraint system or booster seat is acquired.
         HB 1228    revise certain provisions regarding unemployment insurance.

         SB 55*    (Deferred from 20th LD) provide for a preference for placement of abused and neglected children with relatives and to provide a hearing for review of adoptive placement decisions.
         SB 57    establish an intensive residential treatment center as a category of a child welfare agency.
         SB 74*    revise certain restrictions concerning the operation of snowmobiles.

         LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATIONS

         SC 9    (SJ p. 362) Recognizing and honoring the Dane and Donna Lambert family for their work with the Doland FFA Chapter.
