SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS

         SB 62    authorize the South Dakota Science and Technology Authority to invest funds with the State Investment Council.
         SB 31    update certain provisions pertaining to motor carrier safety and transportation of hazardous materials.
         SB 63    revise certain provisions regarding pedestrian control signals.

         SECOND READING OF HOUSE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS

         HB 1084*    revise the circumstances for when special elections for home rule charters shall be called.
        


         HB 1097    authorize the use of special elections to fill vacancies in the office of the mayor and on the governing boards of certain municipalities.
         HB 1078    increase the motorcycle safety education fee and to provide for the repeal of the fee.

         SB 54*#    clarify the procedure to be followed for expedited abused or neglected child proceedings.

         SB 19#    revise the length of time for the Public Utilities Commission to act on an application for a certificate of authority for interexchange telecommunications service.
         SB 32#    change certain references from the Department of Revenue and Regulation to the Department of Public Safety.
         SB 44    revise certain provisions relating to the collection of debt and fees by the Bureau of Administration.
